Congress Votes to Extend Daylight Savings Time

In an effort to save energy, Congress voted today to extend Daylight Savings Time by four weeks begining in 2007. Traditionally, Daylight Savings Time starts on the first sunday in April and ends the last sunday in October. Under Congress' bill, Daylight Savings Time will now start the second sunday in March and end the first sunday in November. Congress rationalizes that if Americans can wait an hour to turn on their lights at night, the nation should be able to conserve at least some energy.

I don't know about Congress people, but I still require lights during the day in my home.
