San Antonio Spurs - 3 Titles in 7 Years

The Detroit Pistons hopes of a back-to-back NBA championship were shattered as the San Antonio Spurs defeated them 81-74. The Spurs were led by Finals MVP Tim Duncan, who had 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assist; swingman Manu Ginobili pumped in another 23.

Retrospectively, the 2004-05 NBA playoffs have been great. As far as watching sports on TV, basketball has always been my first love. Every since Jordan won three and left; I’d scaled down from watching all the playoffs game to only watching the finals. I was looking at the tube as a crafty David Robinson and young Tim Duncan and the rest of the Spurs won a tainted title in the infamous lockout shorten season (1998-99). I was stationed at the couch cheering and jeering as the Shaq and Kobe Lakers 3-peated (1999-02). Those Lakers teams were the type that you loved to hate – They had so much talent and they knew it. I tuned in to see an aging David Robinson and blossoming Tim Duncan pick up a second title in the 2002-03 finals. I watched intently, as the “Dream Team” of NBA basketball – the Lakers with Shaq, Kobe, Karl Malone, Gary Patton, “Pretty” Ricky Fox, and Robert Horry imploded as the Detroit Pistons spanked their behinds, playing solid team basketball.

The NBA playoffs and more importantly the finals have been wonderful. I actually watched lots of playoff basketball this season, so here is the NBA Playoffs ALL S. Dash Team.
